Prizes and Awards

VIVO international Music Competition is pleased to announce that there will be no winners’ concert fee starting from the 2016 competition. First prize winners are invited to perform at the winners’ concert with no obligation to pay for the concert fee, which distinguishes VIVO competition from many other music competitions in New York Metropolitan area. This change reflects our firm commitment to the development of young musical talents. The winners’ concert tickets will be available for purchase for the audiences who want to be part of the significant events.

First prize winners   
Performance at Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Music Center
January 7, 2018, Sunday at 3pm and 6pm

The first prize winners of the competition are invited to play at the winner’s concert. Each winner will receive a certificate of achievement award at the conclusion of the concert. In addition, the top three performers from each age group across instrumental divisions will be selected for the following awards:

Group A
Gold: Cash award of $100.00
Silver: Cash award of $50.00
Bronze: Cash award of $30.00

Group B
Gold: Cash award of $300.00
Silver: Cash award of $200.00
Bronze: Cash award of $100.00

Group C
Gold: Cash award of $500.00
Silver: Cash award of $300.00
Bronze: Cash award of $200.00

Group D
Gold: Cash award of $1000.00
Silver: Cash award of $500.00
Bronze: Cash award of $300.00


Second prize winners
Each winner will receive a certificate of achievement award by mail. The certificate recipients will be listed as the official winners of the VIVO Youth International Music Competition for the year.

Third prize winners
Each winner will receive a certificate of achievement award by mail. The certificate recipients will be listed as the official winners of the VIVO Youth International Music Competition for the year.

  • Multiple or no winners may result in each of the age groups and/or instrumental divisions at the discretion of the jury. All jury’s decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
